How do I reset my password if I forgot to write it down.

If you forgot to write down your password you can reset it but it will require that you shutdown the HoudiniESQ server on your machine first.

1. Shutdown the server How do I shutdown the HoudiniESQ service on my machine

2. Locate your profile file (it has .hup extension) located in the HoudiniESQ/webapps/houdini/esb/config/users folder

3. Open the file with a text editor e.g. john.doe@email.com.hup

4. Find the section that looks like the following

5. Change the PWD (between the quotes) to a temp password like abc. IMPORTANT: The password is only encrypted after you have successfully logged on and change it to a permanent one.

6. Start the server How do I start the HoudiniESQ service on my machine

7. Login

8. Click the Orange Arrow and select My Profile.

9. Change your password to a permanent password.
